| Special Information | Its marked polarity decreases distribution of the drug into the CNS, resulting in reduced potential for adverse CNS effects compared with some first generation antihistamines.The drug is the active carboxylic acid metabolite of terfenadine with practically no cardio-toxic side effect. |
